About 300 artists in seven disciplines are awarded Fellowships each year and the sole criterion for acceptance is artistic excellence. There are no residency fees. Need-based travel grants and stipends are available to open the residency experience to the broadest possible community of artists. Artists with professional standing in their fields, as well as emerging artists, are eligible to apply. MacDowell encourages artists from all backgrounds and all countries in the following disciplines: architecture, film/video arts, interdisciplinary arts, literature, music composition, theatre, and visual arts. Any applicant whose proposed project does not fall clearly within one of these artistic disciplines should contact the admissions department for guidance. We aim to be inclusive, not exclusive in our admissions process.

WheatonArts is excited to announce a two-month summer internship in our Glass Studio. Designed for emerging artists pursuing or having recently completed an undergraduate degree in glass, this competitive internship provides professional experience in a museum setting. Interns can be expected to assist with WheatonArts studio production, public classes, and studio technician classes, averaging 25-30 hours per week.

Allegory Dance Theatre is hosting their 2nd presentation of the Illumination Series, an evening of performance art. We are looking for dancers/dance. companies, poets, spoken word artists, and performance artists to join us on stage and multi medium artists to present their work in the lobby. While there are no state residential restrictions, preference will be given to applicants from the Southern New Jersey area and to marginalized artists. There is no cost to apply or to perform. This is a non-paid event. This event will take place at Haddonfield Plays and Players in Haddonfield, NJ on Friday, February 3 and Saturday, February 4th @ 8pm. The theater features a 20 x 30 ft stage with limited wing space. The theater has a 124 seat audience that is also wheelchair accessible. There is a designated dressing room area with access to both sides of the stage. Groups will be provided with options for lighting and they will have a scheduled tech rehearsal on Friday, February 3rd prior to the show. Participating groups will be provided with video of their performance and any images from our on site photographer. Submitted work should be no longer than 8 minutes. The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Division of Preservation and Access is accepting applications for the Sustaining Cultural Heritage Collections program. This program helps cultural institutions meet the complex challenge of preserving large and diverse holdings of humanities materials for future generations by supporting sustainable conservation measures that mitigate deterioration, prolong the useful life of collections, and strengthen institutional resilience (i.e., the ability to anticipate and respond to disasters resulting from natural or human activity).
