SlowArt Productions presents the annual group thematic exhibition, A Show of Heads. The exhibition will be held at the Limner Gallery from October 10 - November 2, 2024. Open to all artists working in any media, this exhibition will include all interpretations and portrayals of the Human Head, from the traditional to the abstract and conceptual. All visions of the head, including partial and multiple heads, will be considered. The exhibition is open to all artists, national and international, working in all media. All forms of painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, graphics, digital and installation art, video, etc. are eligible. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Wall mounted works must not be taller than 72" no wider than 120". Sculptural work must fit through a 36" wide entry door. ENTRY FEES: There is a $35.00 entry fee for one to four artworks entered, presentation is by digital JPG image files. There is a $5.00 fee for each additional artwork above four. Details of 2D artwork count as an additional artwork. Sculptors may provide one additional view per artwork without cost. Artists accepted to exhibit will not be charged additional fees of any kind. Payments by credit card at time of entry using PayPal, or check or money order payable to SlowArt Productions.

Artists working in all mediums are encouraged to apply. The exhibition will be curated by Fjord members; there is no specified theme. Artists outside of Philadelphia are encouraged to apply, but will be responsible for shipping or delivering their work to and from the gallery.

Dance/USA Fellowships to Artists (DFA) supports dance and movement-based artists from across the U.S. and its territories who work at the intersection of social and embodied practices. DFA recognizes the wide variety of ways in which people engage in social transformation through dance, which often do not fit into established models of arts funding. This includes community-building and culture-bearing practices, healing and storytelling practices, activism and representational justice practices, and more. Now in its third iteration, DFA remains one of only a few programs which support independent U.S. dance artists with an unrestricted financial award. Fellowship awards of $31,000 will be given to at least 25 individual artists, to be used at their own discretion.

The 2025 New Jersey State Council on the Arts Individual Artist Fellowship rules and instructions and application are now available. State Fellowships are awarded to practicing New Jersey artists through an anonymous, competitive application process to help them pursue their artistic goals. The categories for the 2025 NJ Individual Artist Fellowship are: Choreography, Crafts, Music Composition, Photography, Playwriting/Screenwriting, Poetry, and Sculpture.

A part oral history project, a part research project, and a part children's theater for all ages, the Rancocas Project seeks to include stories from our neighbors with diverse backgrounds and experiences. The vision is to follow in the footsteps of those who have advocated for historical reckoning, social justice, and climate justice. We are collecting stories for art. If you share your writing, recording, or pictures with us, they can be used in an artwork, a Crankie performance, at the Perkins Center for the Arts in October 2024 (and possibly in other iterations in the future).

The Media Projects program supports the development, production, and distribution of radio programs, podcasts, documentary films, and documentary film series  that engage general audiences with humanities ideas in creative and appealing ways. Projects must be grounded in humanities scholarship and demonstrate an approach that is thoughtful, balanced, and analytical. Media Projects offers two levels of funding: Development and Production.
