On Saturday and Sunday, August 12 and 13, 2023 the tour will offer an opportunity to see art and talk with LBI artists. Depending on the artist’s medium, there may be an opportunity to see the artists at work and watch how they create. The tour is self-guided, free to the public and showcases a variety of fine art, crafts, ceramics, digital art and photography. Art will be available for purchase and tour maps are available on LBI from the artists, local galleries, and businesses.

Humanities Collections and Reference Resources (HCRR) advances scholarship, education, and public programming in the humanities by helping libraries, archives, museums, and historical organizations across the country steward important collections of books and manuscripts, photographs, sound recordings, and moving images, archaeological and ethnographic artifacts, art and material culture, and digital objects. The program strengthens efforts to extend the reach of such materials and make their intellectual content widely accessible. Awards also support the creation of reference resources that facilitate the use of cultural materials, from works that provide basic information quickly to tools that synthesize and codify knowledge of a subject for in-depth investigation.

is a community micro-grant fund that The LP launched in 2020. The Fund seeds and supports the creative ideas and civic actions of artists, cultural practitioners, community builders, organizers, and makers in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. During the 2023 cycle, we will provide $1000 in grants towards each funded project for a total of up to 20 proposals. We are looking for creative initiatives and projects that are rooted in community, foster connections, and ignite conversations and/or collaborations. In other words, we support community building amongst neighbors.

The Yield Giving Open Call is a $250 million open call focused on elevating organizations working with people and in places experiencing the greatest need in the United States: communities, individuals, and families with access to the fewest foundational resources and opportunities. This initiative will award unrestricted gifts of $1 million each to 250 organizations.
