Weekend Recap: February 2nd Saturday Recap
The event had a great turnout, with many people showing up to enjoy the various activities on offer.
Galicia Graphics hosted an art demo, where attendees could learn about different printing techniques and see some of the amazing artwork that can be created using these methods. Toris Critters showcased her reptiles, which was a hit for kids and adults alike. The Atlantic Cape Community College Culinary department also contributed to the event, baking delicious Valentine's Day cookies and providing materials for attendees to decorate them with before taking them home. Community members could also enjoy craft tables, a free book giveaway, the Post Card project, Stories of AC, and more!
DJ Blake, who is on the autism spectrum, was also there to provide some great music and entertainment. Blake and his crew (aka parents) currently assist him with each event, and his energy and enthusiasm were contagious, making for a truly engaging and memorable experience.
Overall, the 2nd Saturday event in February was an absolute triumph, filled with fun, excitement, and positivity. With so many great activities on offer, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
We hope everyone is excited about what the next 2nd Saturday will bring. We have some great programming ahead so keep an eye out for future promotions in our newsletter and social media.
