About South Jersey Cultural Alliance:
South Jersey Cultural Alliance unites cultural community members to create the synergy needed for an inclusive, thriving sector. We connect arts, history, cultural organizations, artists, and tradition bearers to each other and their communities, linking them to the resources and opportunities they need to flourish in the eight southern counties of New Jersey.
About Midtown Community Development Corporation:
The Midtown in Motion effort started when a few community partners got together and started a conversation about how to help the neighborhood achieve its full potential. From there, one of the partners, the AtlantiCare Foundation was awarded funding to launch a community planning effort, and pulled together an initial group of residents, agencies, and community stakeholders—the Midtown Neighborhood Community Advisory Board.
That group of dedicated individuals conducted a walking survey of all the properties in Midtown, began meeting with residents and local businesses, and led a resident survey effort in the community. All the feedback gathered from the people of Midtown was put together for the community to respond to. Community feedback will determine what goes into the plan.
As the planning process began wrapping up, the Committee discussed the need to make sure it could put this plan in motion for the people of Midtown–and Midtown in Motion was born!
