- QUEER | ART Illuminations Grant | This annual $10,000 grant will support Black trans women visual artists, drawing attention to an existing body of work. Four finalists will also receive a $1,250 award. Winning artists will receive additional professional development resources and further guidance to bolster their creative development in the field. | Deadline: July 12, 2023
- New Jersey State Council on the Arts | 2024 Individual Artist Fellowship | The 2024 New Jersey State Council on the Arts Individual Artist Fellowship is now accepting applications. These fellowships are designed to support New Jersey artists in pursuing their artistic goals. The application process is competitive and anonymous. The categories for the fellowship include Film/Video, Digital/Electronic, Interdisciplinary, Painting, Prose, and Printmaking/Drawing/Book Arts. The fellowship awards range from $4,000 to $32,000, with the amount determined annually by the State Arts Council. There is no cap or quota per artistic discipline. Additional funding opportunities are available for artists from certain counties with historically low application rates. | Deadline: July 13, 2023, at 5:00 PM ET. | Guidelines and application assistance resources are provided in both English and Spanish on the Mid Atlantic Arts website.
- Ucross Residency, Visual Art, and Writing Programs | The Ucross Residency Program is open to visual artists, writers, composers, choreographers, interdisciplinary artists, and performance artists, as well as collaborative teams. Applicants must exhibit professional standing in their field; both mature and emerging artists of the promise are welcome to apply. They do not accept applications from students at any level. Fellowships are available for Native American Visual Artists and Writers. | Deadline: July 15, 2023
- Cumberland County on Canvas | “Cumberland on Canvas” will be displayed in the Witt Room at the Riverfront Renaissance Center. The County Cultural & Heritage Commission is sponsoring this exhibit. Dozens of artists are submitting their favorite Cumberland County pieces. | Deadline: July 17, 2023
- Arts to Hearts Project | Call for Art: Studio Visit Book V.2 | Each artist will be featured with four pages dedicated to their work and an interview about their studio practice. As a token of our appreciation, each artist will receive a complimentary digital copy of the book and have the chance to be featured on social media. Additionally, they will receive a discount on books for their family and friends. | Deadline: July 17, 2023, | Application
- Monira Foundation and Jonas Mekas Studio Research and Production Residency | This residency welcomes media curators, artists, practitioners, or theorists whose practices operate at the intersection of art and media to apply for a six-month supported Residency and Fellowship in Jersey City. Interested applicants may propose a six-month project that utilizes the Jonas Mekas Studio to produce a new work, research presentation, or curate an exhibition or screening. Selected applicants will commit to six hours of weekly work with Sebastian Mekas and the Jonas Mekas Studio for a $750 monthly stipend. This work will include supporting archiving activities or being present open for public hours to welcome other researchers or viewers. Applicants can apply as an Artist or Researcher.
