- Media Artist + Activist Residency | Media Artist + Activist Residency provides grants of $25,000 to women, trans*, and gender nonconforming media artists working in close collaboration with social justice/cultural organizations to document, reframe, and/or amplify the issues and campaigns addressed by the organization.| Deadline: June 26th, 2023 | Apply Now!
- Laura Patricia Calle Grant | Laura Patricia Calle Grant is a tribute to Laura Patricia Calle's advocacy for equality and diverse cultural expression in public spaces. Artists and art collectives are invited to submit proposals for a mural project in the Metro Atlanta region. The mural should raise awareness and promote social equality, feminism, immigrants' rights, LGBTQIA+ rights, and cultural diversity. The $20,000 grant covers all aspects of the mural production, including securing a wall location, artist fees, assistants, media teams, and materials. Artists can apply individually or as a team, with the wall size being a minimum of 100 square feet. The selected artist(s) will work on a prepared wall, and the artwork will be protected with an anti-graffiti coating. Applicants must reside in the United States. - I Know Who I Am - Call for women of color and femme folks of color. | Five chosen artists, through narrative videos, will discuss their lived experiences with subjects around race, gender, disability, sexuality, and more and how art serves as a healing tool for them. The virtual event will take place on Zoom on October 5th, 2023, at 6:30 pm. Artists will be compensated $200 for participation. | Deadline: July 1st, 2023
- Gallery in the Park - Call to Artists - Washington Township | Sustainable Washington Township Creative Team is excited to announce the Summer 2023 exhibit at their outdoor gallery in Washington Lake Park. They are currently accepting submissions from local and regional artists for the exhibit, which will run from August to November. The theme for the exhibit is "The Human Element," inviting artists to explore various interpretations related to human relationships, influences, behavior, or personality. Two-dimensional artwork, including painting, drawing, and photography, is accepted in high-resolution digital format. Artists are required to provide their information, artwork details, and image files by July 8, 2023, to be considered for selection. The exhibit will be held at the Amphitheater in Washington Lake Park, attracting a large audience of park visitors. The committee's decisions will be announced by July 24, 2023. The exhibit is supported by the Township of Washington and Republic Bank, and future opportunities for displaying artwork in different venues may arise with separate artist consent. - New Jersey State Council on the Arts | 2024 Individual Artist Fellowship | The 2024 New Jersey State Council on the Arts Individual Artist Fellowship is now accepting applications. These fellowships are designed to support New Jersey artists in pursuing their artistic goals. The application process is competitive and anonymous. The categories for the fellowship include Film/Video, Digital/Electronic, Interdisciplinary, Painting, Prose, and Printmaking/Drawing/Book Arts. The fellowship awards range from $4,000 to $32,000, with the amount determined annually by the State Arts Council. There is no cap or quota per artistic discipline. - West Windsor Arts | West Windsor Arts is currently seeking artwork for their open call to artists for the Fall exhibition titled "Ode to New Jersey." They invite artists to explore their personal connection to the state, highlighting its rich history and diverse identity. From being known as "The Garden State" to the "Diner capital of the world," New Jersey has a unique heritage that has shaped its character. | The deadline to submit artwork is Monday, July 31, and the selected pieces should be dropped off or sent between August 21 and 26. The exhibition will run from August 29 to October 28, with a reception taking place on Friday, September 8.
- Mural Arts Philadelphia – Open Call for Muralists | Mural Arts Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Holocaust Remembrance Foundation (PHRF) are collaborating on a significant project to create a new artwork adjacent to the Horwitz-Wasserman Holocaust Memorial Plaza in Center City, Philadelphia. This project builds upon previous efforts to remember and reflect on the Holocaust, aiming to provide a backdrop for the Memorial Plaza. The opportunity is open to highly accomplished artists experienced in creating two-dimensional public art, with a deep connection to the Holocaust. Letters of interest from artists are due by June 30, 2023, and qualifying artists will be asked to submit a portfolio for consideration. Take advantage of a free consultation session with NYFA! The Immigrant Artist Resource Center presents the online 1-on-1 Consultations for Immigrant Artists program, generously supported by the Tremaine Foundation. These personalized sessions offer career-centered conversations for artists of all disciplines. In a 40-minute consultation with arts industry experts, you can receive guidance on various topics such as career planning, application materials, networking, marketing, and more. The consultations are conducted online via Zoom and are available in English, Mandarin, and Spanish. To ensure broader access, please book only one consultation session.
