New Jersey State Council on the Arts | Free Webinar Watch Party Series on Financial Management for New Jersey Arts Nonprofits | Join New Jersey State Council on the Arts, Nonprofit Finance Fund, and other nonprofit leaders for a Webinar Watch Party series on key financial management concepts for arts nonprofits! Covering everything from cash flow planning to financial storytelling, this series is meant to give nonprofit arts leaders a comprehensive understanding of the techniques they need to run effective organizations for the long haul. In these 90-minute virtual group sessions, participants will watch all or portions of a chosen webinar, while an NFF consultant will be present to answer questions, facilitate group discussions, and walk through accompanying workbooks so participants can dig deeper into each topic as we go. New Jersey Economic Development Authority | History Property Grant Survey Program: Applications are OPEN | The Historic Property Survey Grant Program is a $400,000 pilot program that will provide grants up to $125,000 for the preparation of Historic Property Surveys throughout the state that include within the defined scope, properties located within a Government Restricted Municipality or that would be considered distress asset/s. | Application and Information.
New Jersey Economic Development Authority | Accepting Applications for Activation, Revitalization, and Transformation (A.R.T.) Phase II Program | The $15 million program will support the creation of public space activation initiatives, such as place making projects, public art installations, and arts-based projects along commercial corridors in 31 municipalities. Non-profit organizations with a 501(c)(3), 501(c)(6), or 501(c)(19) status are eligible to apply. Permitted uses of funding include: placemaking projects, public art installations, arts-based projects, art exhibitions, performances, festivals, parades, concerts or concert series, film and video screenings, and cultural programming. NJ Theatre Alliance | ArtsPayNJ Educational Offerings | Based on the key findings of ArtsPay NJ’s inaugural survey, we will offer four virtual trainings throughout the year to address some of the needs identified in the data, such as retirement benefits, employee classification, salary banding, and ethical internships. New Jersey Council for the Humanities | Communities of Practice | A Community of Practice (COP) is flexible gathering of individuals united by shared interests and expertise, providing peer-to-peer support, learning, and networking opportunities. COPs may be cultivated around a topic, geographic area, professional practice, or other common concern for humanities practitioners. In 2024, NJCH will pilot three COPs: Community college humanities, Oral history and story-gathering, Arts and humanities. If you see yourself in one of these communities, please join the COP! New Jersey Council for the Humanities | Community History Cohort | Community History participants collaborate with their communities to learn about and share their untold stories. Participants receive instruction on public history practices, develop projects in a collaborative environment, and are eligible to receive funding from NJCH to launch projects in their communities. NJCH will provide $1,000 funding up front to support participation in the program. Participating organizations are eligible to apply for additional funding up to $5,000 to support the project they develop over the course of the program. | Deadline: December 12th, 2024. | Application and information.
Rowan University Art Gallery & Museum | Prima Materia: Blanka Amezkua, Esperanza Cortés, and Anthony Carlos Molden, curated by Anabelle Rodríguez-González | Prima Materia brings together new and recent works by Blanka Amezkua, Esperanza Cortés, and Anthony Carlos Molden, three interdisciplinary artists working across a dynamic range of expressive forms, including but not limited to sculpture, painting, ceramics, musical and theatrical collaborations, performative actions, curatorial work, community interventions, site-specific installations, and public art commissions. All three artists are experienced makers actively creating provocative artworks that relate to materials and techniques associated with crafts such as embroidery, beadwork, decorative paper folding and cutting, and elements from the scenic arts. Their efforts consistently yield marvelous results, including novel sculptural objects, sumptuously detailed and evocative two-dimensional works, and challenging mixed-media installations that appeal to the senses through their impressive individual and collective visuality.
