- NJ State Council on the Arts | 2024 Individual Artist Fellowship | The 2024 New Jersey State Council on the Arts Individual Artist Fellowship is now accepting applications. These fellowships are designed to support New Jersey artists in pursuing their artistic goals. The application process is competitive and anonymous. The categories for the fellowship include Film/Video, Digital/Electronic, Interdisciplinary, Painting, Prose, and Printmaking/Drawing/Book Arts. The fellowship awards range from $4,000 to $32,000, with the amount determined annually by the State Arts Council. There is no cap or quota per artistic discipline. Additional funding opportunities are available for artists from certain counties with historically low application rates. | Deadline: July 13, 2023, at 5:00 PM ET. | Guidelines and application assistance resources are provided in both English and Spanish on the Mid Atlantic Arts website.
- ArtPride NJ | Thank Legislatures for supporting the FY24 Arts Budget | Please take a moment to thank Governor Murphy and your district legislators for preserving the annual appropriation of $31.9 million for arts and culture in the FY24 New Jersey state budget. - HAAC | Nuestro Pueblo (Our Community) Awards celebration | The Hispanic Association of Atlantic County cordially invites you to join us for our 2023 Nuestro Pueblo (Our Community) Awards celebration. This year's theme is Una Noche en Blanco! All-white attire is a must. Tickets are $75 pp and include two (2) complimentary drink tickets, hors d'oeuvres, and a floating dinner (passed around miniature delights). | July 14th at 6 PM
- Stories of Atlantic City | Stories of Atlantic City is hosting its very first Artist Meetup at the Community Reporting Innovation Lab on the second floor of Stockton’s AC campus. Their goal with this space is to facilitate conversation, build unity, and bring artists together to get to know each other better! Atlantic City is a small place, and yet so many of our passionate folks do not know of or how to connect with each other—we seek to provide a safe space to dream together, to learn how we at SOAC can support you, and to discover how you can best support each other.| Date: Saturday, July 15th from 2 pm–5 pm | Location: Stockton University, Atlantic City Campus, Community Reporting Innovation Lab, Second floor | RSVP to attend
- NJ State Council on the Arts | New Jersey State Council on the Arts Annual Meeting & Reception | The New Jersey State Council on the Arts will convene its 2023 Annual Meeting on Tuesday, July 25th at 10 AM. The meeting will include the election of Council officers and voting on grants for Fiscal Year 2024. The agenda will be available at the meeting, and large print options will be available. The Council will host a reception immediately following the meeting, with light refreshments served. Those unable to attend the meeting may call the Council office at 609-292-6130 after 1:30 PM on July 25th to learn the results of the meeting. - African American Heritage Museum of South Jersey | Call for Volunteers | The African American Museum of South Jersey has undertaken a project to inventory and document the approximately 12,000 items in the museum’s collection. They need volunteers to process and record the items in the collection. If you or someone you know can assist with the inventory process, please contact them at info@aahmsnj.org or 609-892-0439.
