- New Jersey State Council on the Arts | Strategic Plan Feedback Survey | The New Jersey State Council on the Arts is nearing the conclusion of a comprehensive year-long strategic planning process, which thoroughly evaluated every aspect of its work, including operations, policies, services, and grantmaking. They aim to build upon the progress already made towards achieving a more diversified and broader positive impact. To ensure a well-rounded approach, they seek input from various stakeholders, including arts organizations, artists, arts workers, audiences, and community members statewide. The draft plan, currently available for public feedback, outlines the council's aspirations for the next five years. The council actively strives to gather feedback from a diverse range of respondents, regardless of their prior engagement history. The valuable insights received will contribute to enhancing both the strategic plan and the council's services in meaningful ways. Your participation in the anonymous survey is crucial for this vital final step in the strategic planning process. The draft plan can be read in approximately 22 minutes, while the survey itself should take about 6 minutes to complete. | Deadline: June 28, 2023 | 2023 Draft Strategic Plan | Feedback Survey
- Revolution NJ | The U.S. 250th anniversary, coming up in 2026, is a crucial opportunity to engage the public in the full sweep of American history. But for many history-doers, this is easier said than done. How do you interpret the U.S. 250th at your site or organization, especially if you don’t have an obvious connection to the Revolutionary era? Even if you do have a clear tie to the Revolution, how do you make that history relevant to your audiences? The AASLH is hosting a three-part webinar series that will offer best practices in interpretive planning, connections to field-wide themes for the 250th, and the chance to find inspiration and workshop ideas with fellow practitioners. Attendees can choose to attend one session, two, or all three of the series. | Read more | Dates: June 28 and July 19, 2023, at 3:00 PM | COST: $25-55
