- Arts Ed NJ |VPA Supervisor Roundtable| Arts Ed NJ is excited to kick off the VPA Supervisor Roundtable by welcoming Dr. Scott Edgar, Director of Practice and Research at the Center for Arts Education and Social Emotional Learning, to join us for an important discussion about Artistic SEL. First, we will discuss how SEL practices are impacting your district/school/arts classrooms. Then Dr. Edgar will guide participants through strategies to build arts educators’ and administrators’ own social emotional learning (SEL) competencies as they work to support teachers in embedding the SEL goals of Identity, Belonging, and Agency into teaching and learning through the four artistic processes. This will also be an opportunity to learn more about the Center for Arts Education and Social Emotional Learning) and the resources available to support Artistic SEL professional learning. - Arts Ed NJ | Culturally Responsive Arts Education Workout | CRAE is an eight-week curated asynchronous and synchronous experience that focuses on developing the capacity of educators and administrators to think about how culturally relevant and responsive approaches can shift curriculum, instructional content, and teaching practices to more effectively represent and validate all students’ cultures and lived experiences.
